CCPS Appoints Chief Financial Officer
Calvert County Public Schools (CCPS) has appointed Christine Jewett as Chief Financial Officer, bringing extensive public-sector financial expertise and a deep understanding of the school system’s operations and fiscal priorities.
Ms. Jewett most recently served as Supervisor of Finance for St. Mary’s County Public Schools, a position she held since 2021. Prior to that role, she worked as a Budget Analyst and Accountant in St. Mary’s County beginning in 2019. She is well known to Calvert County Public Schools, having previously served the district from 2007 through 2018 as Supervisor of Finance, Staff Accountant, and Internal Auditor.
Her professional experience also includes service as a Financial Reporting Manager with American Community Properties Trust. Ms. Jewett began her career as a Financial Auditor with Ernst & Young, where she developed a strong foundation in financial accountability and compliance.

Ms. Jewett holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from La Salle University and a Master of Science in Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. She is actively involved in the Calvert County community through the Calvert High School Athletics Boosters and has previously served on both middle and elementary school Parent-Teacher Associations.
